Renovated from the 1930s Kennings car garage the Workstation is a unique managed workspace/business centre for companies working in and around cultural & media industries.

Since opening in 1993 the Workstation has grown into one of the UK’s most successful centres for cultural industries and has attracted companies with a wide portfolio of national and international clients.

Located in the Workstation are organisations working in film and television production, web and graphic design, computer games development, public relations, photography and publishing, radio, music, dance and digital arts.

The Workstation is in the heart of Sheffield’s Cultural Industries Quarter, a unique city centre concentration of cultural businesses, venues, galleries and bars. The building is located at the very gateway to the city centre. There is easy access to the M1 and the building is close to railway, bus and tram links. All areas of the building are fully accessible to people with impaired mobility.
